HOMES takes its name from Huron, Ontario, Michigan, Erie, and Superior. The Ann Arbor brewery focuses on hoppy and sour beers, with two west-side locations about 1.5 miles apart. Which one to visit depends on what you want alongside your pint.
Two Spots, One Road: The Brewpub at 2321 Jackson Ave is the flagship. It serves Asian-influenced street food, and you can order at the bar or through the QR code at your table. Start here for a beer and dinner
Down the road, HOMES Campus at 112 Jackson Plaza houses the production brewery, an outdoor beer garden, and an indoor taproom. Campo Pizza serves Roman-style pizza. Dozer Coffee is also on Campus, with its own roastery, pastries, breakfast, and lunch. Its drive-thru makes a coffee stop possible even when you don’t have time to sit down.
The Campus businesses keep separate hours. An open taproom doesn’t necessarily mean an open kitchen, so check before heading over for food.
What to Order: Start with Same Same Different, HOMES’ flagship New England IPA at 6.8% ABV. The brewery describes papaya and mango aromas, with tropical melon and citrus flavors. Check the current tap list before going, since selections change.
HOMES aims to keep 8 to 14 beers on tap. For people who prefer something else, the drinks list includes Smooj hard smoothies, Cinch vodka spritz, locally sourced spirits, wine, and cider.
Before You Go The Brewpub is open 4–10 pm Monday through Thursday, 11 am–11 pm Friday and Saturday, and 11 am–9 pm Sunday. The Campus beer garden and taproom are open 3–9 pm Monday through Friday, noon–9 pm Saturday, and noon–8 pm Sunday.
Dozer is open daily from 7 am to 5 pm, with brunch items available until 2 pm.
Both HOMES locations welcome kids. Well-behaved dogs can join you in the outdoor beer gardens, provided they stay leashed and with their owners. Seating is first come, first served, with no general reservations. Larger groups can contact the brewery ahead of time to arrange space.
Bring your growler to the Brewpub. That’s the only location that fills them.
