Michigan Medicine
🏥 D. Dan and Betty Kahn Health Care Pavilion: After more than a decade of planning, Michigan Medicine’s newest hospital, the D. Dan and Betty Kahn Health Care Pavilion will open this month. The 12-story, $920 million hospital adds 264 private rooms, 20 surgical suites, and advanced centers for neurosciences and cardiovascular care, marking the largest expansion of U-M’s adult inpatient capacity in 40 years. There is a public open house for the hospital this Wednesday from 4-6:30 pm. This 1-minute video from Michigan Medicine is worth the watch.

While the 30-year-old restaurant’s menu won’t be changing, the chairs, lighting, and colors will get a refresh. The West End Grill is targeting a January 16 reopening.

The Crescent
🏗️ The Crescent Approved: Last month, City Council unanimously voted to approve the construction of The Crescent, a five-story, 262-unit apartment complex at 2525 Ann Arbor-Saline Road (behind Whole Foods). Construction is expected to take over two years and will cost $40 million. The complex will offer studio to three bedroom units with rent ranging from $1,000 to $3,000, respectively.
