🌲 B2B Tunnel Opening: The long-awaited Barton-Bandemer pedestrian tunnel will open on Wednesday, November 5 at 1 PM. The trail will run below the train tracks and connect Bandemer Park and the Barton Nature Area along the B2B Trail. The grand opening includes a ribbon cutting, limited-edition swag, and a look at artist Tatum Lowry’s “Ode to Huron” installation.

🍳 Brunch Pump Fake: Last week, Solana announced they would no longer be opening a breakfast cafe at 210 S. Fifth Ave. The cafe had original planned to open later this month but “a few business dealings and legal contracts” fell through so the cafe scrapped their plans. No replacement tenant has been announced.

🍄 Spores Cafe: A new cafe serving shroom-infused coffees, teas and lemonades opened at 814 S. State Street (the old Pizza Bob’s location). With a focus on “natural wellness, focus, and good vibes”, Spores Cafe serves beverages meant to “elevate your brew and your mind". The South State Street shop joins a small but growing trend of shroom cafés following the city’s 2020 decriminalization of psilocybin products.
