🟢 Sml Wrld Matcha: For a limited time, the downtown Shinola cafe (301 S. Main Street) will host Smrl Wrld Cafe, a pop-up matcha vendor. Sml Wrld will serve three flavors of matcha that are “never super sweet”. Here’s a fun little Instagram hype video.

🇰🇷 Karaoke On Main: Last week, Bori Korean Kitchen & Bar opened on the second floor of 311 S. Main St (right above Jolly Pumpkin). Bori will serve authentic Korean dishes like kimbap and dolsot bibimbap while also offering authentic Korean-style karaoke. Bori will be open from 4 to 10 p.m. during the week, 4 to 12 a.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 4 to 9 p.m. on Sunday.

Noteworthy Wants & Wonders
🎁 Wants & Wonders: Last month, Noteworthy Wants & Wonders opened at 305 S. Main Street (in the old Bitty and Beau’s space). The Michigan-based shop offers gifts for all occasions and ages. In addition to their Ann Arbor location, Noteworthy also operates a store in Richland (near Kalamazoo) and a sister business that specializes in custom stationery, invitations and paper goods, called Noteworthy by Design.

Trinity Health Ann Arbor
🏗️ Trinity Health Ann Arbor: Last week, Trinity Health Ann Arbor announced a $60.5 million renovation and expansion of its Emergency Department. The project will update 44,600 square feet, add 13,100 new square feet, and introduce more private treatment rooms, stretcher bays, family areas, and even a new CT scanner for faster imaging. Construction starts this month and runs through 2028, with the hospital staying fully open throughout.

🌊 Renaissance Center: One of Detroit’s most ambitious projects, transforming the Renaissance Center into a new mixed-use waterfront district, was just approved for $75 million in funding by the Downtown Development Authority. The massive $1.6 billion redevelopment projects is backed by Bedrock ($1B) and General Motors ($250M). Plans include new public plazas, a pedestrian promenade from Jefferson Avenue to the river, and reconnecting downtown to a riverfront that’s been blocked off for 50 years.
