πŸ€ Michigan Is One Win From a National Championship

The Wolverines crushed Arizona 91-73 Saturday night in Indianapolis. 7-foot-3 center Aday Mara was the MVP with a career-high 26 points, and Yaxel Lendeborg played the second half on a sprained MCL and rolled ankle. "There's no way I am missing the game on Monday night," he told TBS. Michigan (36-3) faces UConn for the national championship Monday at 8:50 p.m. on TBS. πŸ€ Women's Basketball: A Season to Remember

Michigan's historic run ended in the Elite Eight, 77-41 to Texas. The Longhorns hit their first nine shots and never let up. It stings, but this team went 28-7, tying the program record for wins and reaching the Elite Eight for just the second time ever. Olivia Olson (19.6 ppg, double figures all 29 games) and Syla Swords were both named All-Big Ten First Team. MGoBlue

🚌 TheRide Update (Yes, Again)

We told you last week about the 4th Ave. closure and bus stop moves starting May 3. Blake Transit Center's closed for construction. Routes move to 5th and Washington. Route 29's suspended. Route 26 picks up the slack.

Here's a map so you know where you're going. Check theride.org/btc for updates. We know this is the second time we've mentioned it, but getting on the wrong bus feels worse than reading the same thing twice.

Railroad tracks near U-M’s new dorm development set for quiet zone upgrades.

πŸš‚ U-M Is Spending $15M So You Can Sleep Through the Night

If you've ever been jolted awake by a freight train at 2 a.m., this one's for you. The university is funding a $15 million project to upgrade 12 railroad crossings from State Street to Liberty Street west of First. New four-arm gates at each crossing will create a federal "quiet zone," meaning trains won't have to blast their horns every time they roll through. The project is tied to the 2,300-bed dorm complex going up on the old Elbel Field property along the tracks, with another 2,100+ beds planned in phase two. MLive

On RateMyProfessor, students said he made boring subjects interesting and taught like someone who actually knew how to teach. Naturally, he stopped teaching and became an administrator. The Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra improvised a full jazz arrangement of "Baby Shark"

🎺 Baby Shark Got the Jazz Treatment at Hill Auditorium

Last month, a first-grader from Ypsilanti asked the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra if she could play music with them. The trombonist said, "There's no time like the present. Do you know any songs?" She sang "Baby Shark." Wynton Marsalis and his world-class orchestra improvised a full jazz arrangement behind her while 2,200 kids cheered inside Hill Auditorium. Watch it here. Thanks to Lilian V for the tip. ❀️
